Hillingdon Crits

Hillingdon - Tuesday 30th April - Harry Horsman reporting:

You never roll down to Hillingdon Tuesday night crits thinking that you might be able to sit in. As per usual in the BC West Thames series, numerous top level riders from Canyon DHB and Team Wiggins appeared on the start line and within the first lap, a break away had formed. Despite getting within 20 meters of them, the gap soon opened to 30 seconds. In the reduced peloton we chipped away at their lead, sharing the work in a chain gang, but as we got the bell lap, we knew that the catch was not possible even though the break away were in our sights. A final lap push from Nuun Sigma Sports saw me and four other riders break away and I sprinted over the line to get tenth place. All in all, a very hard race but with some form showing I couldn’t be too disappointed with a singular point. Onwards and upwards
