Started cycling aged? 16.
First bike? Giant Defy.
What inspired you to cycle? A mate of mine cycled for fun so I started with him, but he soon gave up so I just use to ride for fun with my Dad and then got introduced into racing through my club etc.
Favourite place to ride? Wales, there’s a range of everything. Long flats, 20m climbs, short and steep climbs and rolling roads that go on for hours.
Favourite race? Tour of Britain, watching the World Tour riders racing on the roads you train on!
Post race meal? Pizza.
What inspires you to keep going when on the limit? The feeling, pain is only temporary!
Who is your cycling hero and why? Guillaume Van Keirsbulck, I love his gutsy riding of always being up the road.
What has cycling taught you? That you should always wear suncream on long rides!!
Favourite music? Completely depends on mood, a variety of rap and indie. Also can’t beat a bit of Kenny Rogers.
Favourite film? Big Daddy.
